The point of this web page is that there is no real
point. After all, a flute with no holes is not a flute, and a
doughnut with no holes is a danish. What follows is a website
dedicated to one of the greatest minds of our time!But
he couldn't make it, so Chevy Chase is the subject instead. To
be honest, Sparky Griswald, a.k.a. Chevy Chase, is perhaps my
favorite comedy actor. I have noticed a lack of sites
dedicated to the guy, so I figured what the hell, he deserves
at least one.
This page will be
expanding all the time (Spies Like Us joined the site
recently, Modern Problems and Seems Like Old Times pics and
sound bites will be arriving soon enough) and I hope to get
feedback and perhaps even some uploads from readers to add to
the collection. Though Vegas Vacation was a dud and Chevy's
commercials of late are not garnering much praise, we do hold
out for more good stuff coming down the pike in the
future.
There is lots of crap
on this site that comes from other web sites. When I initially
started this site some five years ago, I did not quote the
source of the material that I shamelessly
"borrowed." Recently, however, I have been adding
these quotes. If you see one of your files on this site, let
me know and I'll either add a source quote for you or remove
the file. Now go get me some Penzoil motor oil...no, better
make that Quaker State...

Chase Central.
Fletch Won
The
story rights to all Fletch books (except 'Fletch') have
apparently been bought by Miramax for cult director Kevin
Smith (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma) to produce.
"I'd
always felt that the idea would be to start with 'Fletch Won'"
- Kevin Smith
Rumor
has it that young Fletch will be played by Jason Lee (Mallrats, Almost Famous) - with Chevy Chase doing the
narrative.
But
most of all, Kevin has vowed to keep as true to the book as
possible.
